Duke of York has Guinness, Beamish and Murphys. Maddens has Kilkenny and you have to be buzzed in through the door. The Royal on Sandy Row is a pub dedicated to Alex Hurricane Higgins great Guinness too.

You want Murphys or Beamish you need to go South, in fact both are brewed in Cork so thats your best bet. Cant remember the last time I saw it on tap in the north. The Crown was £6 each for a pint of Guiness I assume, not £12 surely?

Probably a good idea to drink in places called the crown, the royal and the diamond jubilee with an English accent but I'm not saying nothing. I hope Northern Ireland has moved on since then. I've never drank there so I shouldn't even comment.

It’s only “rough” because of the history and the fears/prejudices of people who live here. If you’d went to the Falls Road you would have got the same warm welcome even in the dingiest spots. Avoid politics and it’s rare you’ll get hassle in any bar. Thanks for visiting!

You won't get Beamish or Murphys in a Loyalist pub because they are brewed in the Republic.

The Sunflower has Beamish. Kilkenny in voodoo has a head like Guinness, but it's a red ale.

This is Bransholme... it's one of the biggest estates in Europe. But in hull, it certainly isn't the roughest estate. Beverely Road/ orchard park (north hull), New Michael Street, (off town centre), and then boothferry, gypsyville, and hawthorn Ave (stabbing zone) would top brandsholme in my opinon.

I've been to Belfast a few times and taken my daughter on some of them trips. The titanic museum at the start the two triangles sticking out of the building are the dimensions of the titanic's bow interesting fact. Good night life in the city will be going again at some point that's for sure.
